The latest news from Music Palooza is that the new home of the Record, CD, DVD Collector event is Prospect Town Hall at 126 Prospect Rd, Prospect. It is a great venue – better lighting, bigger space – and not too far from town. It is located in the groovy Prospect shopping strip. The next event is scheduled for August 15 and 16 between 9:00am and 5:00pm. Jon Ordon, Revolve Records and Matt Bowden – The Vinyl Junkie will have on offer about 100,000 albums for all musical tastes – jazz, blues, pop, rap, rock, hip hop, dance, punk, country, easy listening, stage & screen and exotica – from bargain bin to collectible, long lost gems, and out of print. Entry is free.
There is no news about the deferred Music Palooza Fair normally held over two days in June or July at the Christian Brothers Gymnasium. The organisers are searching for alternative venues but don’t hold your breath on this one – maybe later in the year.
But the good news is that the Semaphore Record Fair is scheduled for Monday 5 October on the last day of the long weekend. The fair is held in conjunction with the Semaphore Music Festival. Watch this space.
