Adelaide Record Fair & Book Fair Calendar for 2016

It’s a slow start in Adelaide for Record & Book Fairs.  I attended the Canberra Lifeline Book Fair held over three days, on February 12 – 14, at the huge Budawang Pavilion at Exhibition Park near the race course.  The last I attended a Lifeline Book Fair would have been in the mid 1980s when it was held at the Albert Hall, diminuitive by comparison.  And I picked up some vinyl and heaps of excellent but cheap CDs.  Punters were arriving at the fair with suitcases on wheels to carry home their booty and the volunteer organisers, numbering in their hundreds, were courteous and helpful.  Lifeline has scheduled two fairs for later in the year – one in mid-year 24-26 June – at The Auditorium, Erindale Vikings and on 16-18 September at Thoroughbred Park.  Definitely worth putting in the diary.
