Sick of the News.  All Trumped Out.  Need a break from anything at all. The Footy’s getting boring, your side is not doing too well and it’s cold and windy at the game.  You get ripped off eating cold pies at exorbitant prices.  Well here’s the perfect solution – crate-digging at Music Palooza, Adelaide’s premier record fair in the middle of winter.

Music Palooza is Back

Yes – Music Palooza returns on the weekend of the 22nd & 23rd of July 2017, 10am to 5pm on both days.  This is Adelaide’s premier record fair and your chance to improve your record collection.  The fair will feature about 35 local & interstate sellers from Byron Bay, Sydney and Melbourne, with over 100,000 titles to browse through, spread over 100 tables. Vinyl records are the mainstay of the weekend, but there are also humungous collections of CDs, DVDs, concert merchandise, music books & magazines, memorabilia, sheet music and other diversions. Both new & secondhand items will be available for purchase, with something for all music fans. Pick up a bargain, a long lost gem or replenish your collection with a fabulous re-issue.

We’ve got it covered

Music styles on offer include – alternative rock, ballads, black metal, blues, country, blue grass, death metal, disco, drum’n’bass, experimental, folk, funk, grunge, hardcore, industrial, hard rock & heavy metal, hip-hop, house, indie pop, jazz, punk, prog & psych rock, rap, reggae & dancehall, rockabilly, ska, soundtracks, stoner rock, techno, thrash, top 10 pop & rock, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and noughties, classical, lounge and easy listening, world music and other musical incantations.

Where and How Much?

The new location – Plant One, the brightly coloured old warehouse adjacent Jarmers Restaurant on the Bowden “Life More Interesting” housing development, is on on the corner of Fifth Street & Park Terrace, Bowden. The old warehouse is just a few hundred metres from the Entertainment Centre on Port Road. There is easy access by tram, train or bus, and plenty of free parking in surrounding streets.

The cost of entry is $5 on both days (keep your stamp if you propose to return), and is free for children under 12 when accompanied by an adult.

White Elephant Records Great Buys

At White Elephant Records we have been going through the vinyl archives and pulling out some real beauties that have not seen the light of day for some time in such great condition – Jefferson Starship, The Jam, Elvis Costello, Stephen Stills, Jethro Tull, John Mayall, Moody Blues, Mental As Anything – to give you an inkling of what is in store.  We also have our complete range of reliably graded records, lost treasures and modern gems across most genres.

We are expecting a vibrant two days of crate-digging and looking forward to seeing many friendly punters searching methodically for that favourite album.  So give the footy a miss, forget about the shopping, leave the lawns to grow some more weeds, and come out on Saturday and Sunday to Plant #1 at MusicPalooza.  Be there or be square.  You know we love you.
