Music Palooza Record Fair – 17/18 August 2019

Over the past few weeks the weather has returned to a bleak wet winter with a chilly vengeance.  Gusty winds have converted decent kicks for goal into rushed behinds and standing in the outer, with sauce dripping down your fingers from a hot meat pie, have made you wonder if there might not be something better to do.

There is an answer – other than enjoying a great test win at sunny Edgbaston from the confines of a warm couch.  Rain, hail or shine Music Palooza returns to Adelaide on the weekend of 17/ 18 August 2019 and the new venue is at the Latvian Hall, 4 Clark Street, Wayville, just off Greenhill Road.  Doors open at 10:00 am and close at 5:00 pm on each day.  The price of entry is $5.00 on both days (keep your stamp), free for children under 12 when accompanied by an adult.  Free parking is available in the streets around the venue.  So shake out your scarves and boots, and flex the fingers for some good old crate digging in a splendid venue with all creature comforts.

Music Palooza is Adelaide’s premier record fair and will feature local & interstate sellers with over 100,000 titles to browse through.  Vinyl records are the main game, but there will also be a huge array of CDs, DVDs, concert merchandise, music books & magazines, memorabilia, sheet music and possibly more.  New & secondhand items will be available for purchase, with something for every music fan.  Punters are spoiled for choice – pick up a real bargain, find a long lost gem or replenish your collection with a fabulous re-issue.

Music Palooza attracts interstate sellers from Byron Bay, Sydney & Melbourne.  They are joined by 30 local traders making 80 tables of stock – more than enough crate digging for dedicated punters and music fans.   Please note that almost all of the traders only accept payment in cash, however there are ATMs nearby.

The Music styles on offer are encyclopaedic – alternative rock, ballads, black metal, heavy metal, blues, country, disco, industrial, drum’n’bass, experimental, electronic, folk, funk, grunge, hardcore, hip-hop, house, indie pop, jazz, punk, prog & psychedelic, rap, reggae & rockabilly, ska, soundtracks, pop & rock, and world music.

At White Elephant Records we have been racking up the stock with a solid collection of rock, pop, soul, blues, folk, bluegrass and compilations.  Our prices are reasonable and the quality of our secondhand records is second to none.  See you there.

Crate Digging requires long concentration, devotion and money
